I am deeply honoured and very proud to be elected as President of Lansdowne FC for the 2025/26 season. It is a great honour for both myself and my family and I look forward to representing our Club to the best of my abilities.
I wish to extend a warm Lansdowne welcome to fellow members, friends, guests, visiting teams and match officials to LFC for what, I hope, will be a successful season for all our teams: our ever-increasing minis & youths section, all our junior teams, our senior squad, our U20’s and our newly formed Women’s team.
I joined Lansdowne in 1992 and since then I was honoured to represent the club playing at all levels. In recent years I have been heavily involved in coaching our Minis, where both my sons currently play. To all the players, coaches, managers and alickadoos I have met along the way, thank you for enhancing my Lansdowne journey. I have made many lifelong friends both on and off the pitch and I believe this epitomises rugby’s values of making lifelong friendships, helping to develop our sporting abilities and having fun along the way.
I would like to pay tribute to the many volunteers who give generously with their time. At the last count over 140 individuals volunteer for the club, coaching, managing teams or working on various operational or fundraising activities. Thank you all for your time work and enthusiasm. If anyone would like to participate and volunteer further, please contact me or any of the committee members directly, we need volunteers from all areas of the club and all walks of life. We are very grateful to every volunteer and putting ones hand up is both rewarding and fun.
Here at Lansdowne, we have fantastic facilities, including excellent catering and bar services. If you, or your company, would like to host an event - communion / birthday parties, or corporate team building days at our clubhouse, please contact Elayne or the team in the office to arrange a suitable date.
