Lansdowne J4 took to the back pitch at HQ against Old Belvedere RFC with confidence, looking to build on their strong recent form. Lansdowne continued their momentum after halftime, quickly earning a penalty to extend their lead to 17-0. Old Belvedere, however, didn’t back down, launching a series of attacks that kept Lansdowne on their toes. When Lansdowne was reduced to 14 men due to a yellow card, Belvedere seized their chance and responded with a try, narrowing the score to 17-5.
But Lansdowne answered back with flair. Wojtech Mocko (fresh from his ten-minute rest in the sin bin) made an impressive break, scoring in the corner and pushing Lansdowne further ahead at 22-5 as the game entered its final stages.
The visiting Belvedere side, showing resilience, responded with a try of their own to bring the score to 22-12. Yet, Lansdowne wasn’t done. Veterans, Ethan Bradley and Alexis Pavier combined in a powerful move to extend the lead once more, making it 27-12 with just 10 minutes left on the clock.
