On Friday 23rd August we were delighted to resurrect the Lansdowne FC Members Golf Day. This event has been in the Lansdowne calendar for probably over 100 years, with the Presidents Cup having it's first winner recorded in 1932, so we can only guess the lads had already played for a few years beforehand.
The event was a victim of Covid and had not been played since 2019, so it was great to see nearly 50 players from all ages and places in the club out in the sunshine (and odd shower on Friday!)

We played in Rathfarnham Golf Club as our own member, former player and prolific medal winner Rory MacMahon is Captain of Rathfarnham this year. It was a singles competition and I'd like to thank Gerry Cullen, Barry Nestor and Stephanie Ojo for their help in planning the event and logistics on the day. Also to Rory and the team at Rathfarnham for the wonderful presentation of the course and dinner afterwards.
All told it is great to have this event back in the calendar, and now to the prize winners.
